BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Wooster, Ohio, I have had an interest in art since I was a small child. As a teenager I often created portraits of friends and family. I have received a certificate of merit for outstanding achievement in the art department at Wooster high School and was voted most artistic female of my graduating class. I was selected winner of the 2001 and 2004 Goodwill Industries of Holmes County Holiday Ornaments. I have also received first place ribbons at the Wayne county Fair. I am a member of the Wayne Center for the Arts Watercolor Guild. My work has been displayed in shows at the Art Center, Wooster Hospital and other local businesses. I enjoy working with graphite, watercolor, pastels, media I enjoy. acrylics, gouche and color pencil. Portraits of clients' loved ones and pets are a favorite. These are completed by client photos. Abstract art involving collage and texture is another media I enjoy. This is achieved by using found objects and reclaimed wood and sometimes even berry juice.

Other interests include independent studies of impressionist artists, spending time with my family, pets, photography, gardening and creating decorative gourds.
